Rachel Jane Frederick

Funeral services for Miss Rachel Jane Frederick, age 25, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 5, 2018 at Corinth United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Donna Avera and Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate. Miss Frederick was born June 29, 1992 in Dublin, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Harold Ray "Fred" Frederick, Florette Drake Frederick, James Eddie "J.E." Flanders and Henrietta Jane Powell Flanders. She was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church and was Georgia District Anchor President for 2009-1010. In 2009, she was crowned as Homecoming Queen of East Laurens High School and was a 2010 graduate. She was crowned Miss East Georgia State College in 2012, where her platform was American Red Cross Blood Donation. Later in 2012, she represented East Georgia State College in the Miss Georgia pageant. She graduated from East Georgia State College in 2012 but furthered her education at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in 2014 and was pursuing a Masters of Public Health. Miss Frederick passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her home following an extended illness. She is survived by her parents, George Alan "Bobo" Frederick and Jane Flanders Frederick, a brother, Joshua Drake Frederick, her aunts, Sandra (Johnny) McCuen and Loraine (Billy) Minton, three uncles, Eddie Flanders, Brian (Phyllis) Frederick and Craig (Laura) Frederick, and her cousins, Robert Moxley, Reagan Moxley, Nathan Flanders, Andrew Minton, Ryan Frederick, Justin Frederick, Aaron Frederick, Dillon Frederick, Sara Frederick and Mary Frederick Nagel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the funeral home. Her cousins will serve as pallbearers.
