Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Joel Mullis, age 73, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home. A private family burial to follow.
Mr. Mullis was born February 3, 1946 in Dexter, GA. He retired as a PBX Technician for Progressive Rural Telephone Co. He was of the Christian faith and served as Sunday school teacher, church elder, youth pastor and church deacon. He was also passionate about his work as a Teen Challenge Board Member and regular minister at local prisons. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an antique car enthusiast and trophy winner. Mr. Mullis passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Serenity Place Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Mullis and Lois Alligood Mullis, his brothers, Hilbert Mullis and Herman Mullis, and sisters Dorothy Hodges and Mary Garner.
Mr. Mullis is survived by his wife Betty Jean Baggett Mullis of Rentz, his two daughters Twila (Pat) Ford and Tabby Davis both of Dublin, his sister Helen (Ben) Warren of East Dublin, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Stanley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Pat Ford, Kyle Davis, Carter Helton, and Alex Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Baggett, Don Baggett, Ray Porter, Paul Giles, and James Mills.
The family will be meeting at the home of Pat and Twila Ford, 1106 Shamrock Dr, Dublin, GA.
