Raymond Sammons

Funeral services for Raymond Grady Sammons, age 53 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Crooms and Rev. Tim Tharp will officiate. Mr. Sammons was born on February 22, 1964 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late George Edward and Vondell Rogers Sammons. He was employed as a cook for Sonny's Barbeque. He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Sammons passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Mr. Sammons is survive by his loving wife Tina Sammons of Adrian, a stepdaughter, Crystal (Chad Garnto) Elliott of Adrian, 2 brothers, Randy Sammons of East Dublin, and Elbert Sammons of Alabama, a sister, Sandra Lester of Sparta, 5 grandchildren, Kiara, Christopher, Waylon, Jaxen, and Kaylee, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kenny Sammons, Ricky Sammons, William Lester, Autry Brantley, Gary McCord, and Bill Giles. The staff of Sonny's Barbeque will serve as Honorary Escort. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
