Raymond H. Wallace, age 85, of Dublin went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Wallace was born in Atlanta, GA on March 27, 1940, to the late Sammie Wallace and Doris Wallace after graduation from North Fulton High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 32 dedicated years as an Engineer. Mr. Wallace was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing with his friends. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Patsy Wallace of Dublin; daughter, Dee Dee Rowe (Jeff) of Knoxville, TN, sons, Keith Wallace of South Carolina, Gregg Raffield (Lisa) of Macon and Jayson Raffield (Lisa) of Dexter; 5 grandchildren, Chase Raffield of Charleston, SC, Joshua Raffield of Macon, Evan Raffield of Macon, Emmie Raffield of Statesboro, and Kendall Rowe of Eatonton and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chase Raffield, Joshua Raffield, Evan Raffield, Jake Tucker, Zach Tucker, Sydney Davis, Emmie Raffield and Ashley Manack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Smith, Adam Rainey, Rev. Ken Rodgers, Dan Childers, Henry Whitfield, Mark Lynn, Dewayne Jeffers, Ralph Jeffers, Ben Mercer, Danny Munden, Bubbie Lord, Thurston Branch, Chester Veal, Jerry Griffin, Hardy Smith, and Thomas Sewell.
Services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 17, 2025, with Rev. Keith Collins, Rev. Grady Mimbs and Mr. Jeff Rowe officiating. A private interment will be held at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, 3051 Hwy 257, Dublin, GA 31021 or to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
