Retha Geddings Ivey

Funeral services for Mrs. Retha Geddings Ivey, age 84, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 7, 2015 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp will officiate. Mrs. Ivey was born November 2, 1930 in Sumter, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Babbs and Clara Turner Geddings. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Ivey passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, V.T. Ivey of Wrightsville, two sons, Harry Geddings of Dalton and Ricky Lloyd of Tunnel Hill, four daughters, Dianne Cross of Rocky Face, Gayle Caudle of Dalton, Paula Bridges of Sugar Valley and Kathlene Thacker of Dalton and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 7, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene, 591 Mt. Olive Church Road, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
