Rev. Hugh Edward Baxter

Memorial services for Rev. Hugh Edward Baxter, age 74, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 23, 2025, at Corinth Church in Meeks, Georgia. Rev. Steve Sirmons and Rev. Wess Webb will officiate.

Rev. Baxter was born October 10, 1950, in Augusta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Edward Baxter and Ruby Lee Brown Baxter. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Thackston He was the minister of Corinth Church, along with many other churches, where he served faithfully. Mr. Baxter passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at his residence.

Rev. Baxter is survived by his wife, Donna Baxter of Harrison; 3 daughters, Melissa Baxter of Augusta, Kara Wells of Wrightsville, and Krissa Livingston of Louisville; a sister, Dianne Parker of Waynesboro, NC; and 6 grandchildren, Jalyn Thomason, Bella Livingston, Logan Newsome, Lance Newsome, Jace Thomason, and Thomas Wehrle.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
