Rev. Lynn Wilson Cutler Sr, 77, of East Dublin, GA went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
Mr. Cutler was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 26, 1938. He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Cutler, his mother, Mabel Wilson Cutler, and his brother, Bill Cutler Jr. He was the third of four children, surviving brothers Paul and Brian, and grew up in Arlington Heights, IL.
Mr. Cutler married his sweetheart, Peggy Rothacker, in August 1962. They traveled the country while he served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1968. He and his family moved to Dublin, GA in 1969.
Mr. Cutler was owner of Lynn Cutler Repairs, but his true calling was missionary work. He became an ordained minister in 1973. He pastored 2 churches in Laurens County and served as interim pastor of several others. He was a volunteer fireman with the Buckeye Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. He took multiple mission trips to Liberia, Ghana West Africa, and Peru. He was also active with World Changers, Baptist Builders, and Disaster Relief serving all over the continental United States. He was a member of a Disaster Relief team that traveled to New York following the 9-11 terrorist attacks and assisted with clean up.
Mr. Cutler is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Ann Cutler, 5 children – Lynn Jr(Karrie), Bethany Stevens(Bill), Dean, Wendy Davis(Al), Matthew(Melissa), 10 grandchildren- David(Allie), Keith(Chelsea), Daniel, Caleb, Zach, Meredith, Hayden, Tyler, Marshall, and Riley, and 1 great grandchild- Kaden.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Springdale Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1701 Springdale Rd. Dublin, GA 31021, from 2 to 4pm on Saturday, July 30, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Springdale Baptist Church designated for missions.
