Funeral services for Richard King, age 72 will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Doug Eason will officiate. Mr. King was born November 3, 1946 in Yakima, Washington. He was the son of the late Jim and Betty Jean Dillman King. He was retired from Bassett Furniture. He served in the Georgia National Guard. Mr. King passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at his residence. Mr. King is survived by his loving wife, Connie King of East Dublin, a son, James King of East Dublin, a daughter, Tina Savage of Dublin, a brother, Gary (Cheryl) King of Macon, 2 sisters, Donna (Ronnie) Harrison of Dublin, and Sandra Starley of East Dublin, 5 grandchildren, Raymond Savage, Britney King, Callie (Wade) Warren, J.B. King, and Colton Harrison, and 6 great-grandchildren, Britlyn Shiver, Avery Glover, Raylyn Savage, Landon Warren, Hunter Savage, and Destiny Savage. Pallbearers will be Mitch Glover, Wade Warren, Colton Harrison, Paul Griggs, Justin Starley, and Joey Selph. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:45 P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
