Robert Clinton Garrett

Graveside funeral services for Robert Clinton Garrett, age 84 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Don Hicks and Rev. Myron Wise will officiate. Mr. Garrett was born October 20, 1936, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late William Thurston and Elizabeth Annie Cantrell Garrett. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Yvonne Sutton Garrett, and by his son, Don Garrett. He was a member of Dublin First Church of the Nazarene. He served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard where he was called up during the Cuban Crisis to serve in the Active Military. He was a retired manager for Farmers Furniture Company. Mr. Garrett passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Judy Garrett of East Dublin, 2 sons, Bobby (Debbie) Garrett of Dublin, and Joe (Carolyn) Garrett of Hazlehurst, a daughter-in-law, Kim Garrett of Dublin 2 step-daughters, Pamela (Lynn) Sellars of Eastman, and Vickie Johnson of Jacksonville, NC, a brother, Raymond (Barbara) Garrett of Oak Park, a sister, Oretha (Oscar) Warren of East Dublin, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Garrett to the Dublin First Church of the Nazarene at 312 Telfair Street, Dublin, GA 31021 or to a church of your choice.
