Robert Glen Plummer

Funeral services for Robert G. Plummer, age 81 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father Stephen Pontzer will officiate. Interment will follow at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis Missouri. Mr. Plummer was born on July 30, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of the late Earl and Alma Velewald Plummer. He has lived in Laurens County, Georgia for the past 15 years. He graduated with at BSEE from the University of Missouri when it was in a football conference known as Oklahoma and the Seven Dwarfs. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked majority of his life as an engineer in the aerospace industry, starting with Project Mercury Capsule #1and ending with software verification for the space station, but is best remembered for a bad golf swing and as a lover of really warped humor. Mr. Plummer passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Plummer is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Schafer Plummer of Dublin, 3 children, Douglas Plummer of Albuquerque, NM, Steven Plummer of Wichita Falls, TX, and Sandra (Steven) Hayes of Dublin, grandchildren, Maggie Plummer, Derek Plummer, Ariel Souza, Ashley Souza, Allison Souza, Avery Souza, and Aiden Souza. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the funeral home, with a reception to follow after the Mass at the home of Sandra and Steven Hayes at 912 Sussex Court, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
