Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Allen Eagy, age 82 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 9, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Michael Blizzard will officiate.
Mr. Eagy was born on May 14, 1934 in Ordway, Colorado. He was the son of the late Hollis A. and Anna M. Crowley Eagy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Loma Viola Gold Eagy, and 2 brothers, Nerle and Ralph , 4 sisters, Letha, Leota, A. Fern, and Violet. He moved to Georgia in the 1970's. He was a jack of all trades. He loved going camping down by the lake. He loved to fish, go to craft fairs, tell jokes to his grandchildren, and do crossword puzzles. He served in the United States Army, where he fought in the Korean War, and received the National Defense Service Medal, and American Campaign Medal. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Eagy passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at home with his great niece and her family at his side, in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Mr. Eagy is survived by his 2 sons, Theodore D. Eagy and Robert A. Eagy, 3 daughters, Connie Moore, Debbie Fronsoe, and Janita Lynn Mepham, 12 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Arnie Eagy, Carl Moore, Charles McCrobie, Dennis Schnurr, and Brian Eagy.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Arnie Eagy, and Brian Eagy.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
