Ronald David Garrett

Funeral services for Ronald David Garrett, age 51 will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with a private interment to follow at Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Timmy Tanner will officiate. Mr. Garrett was born November 18, 1968 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Charles Garrett. He attended Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and Bethsaida Baptist Church. He was a member of the Laurens Masonic Lodge #75. He was previously employed with the Middle Georgia College as a Police Officer. He worked with the Laurens County Sheriff's Department for many years. He was a certified Scuba Diver for Law Enforcement. He was a Volunteer Fireman for Rentz. Mr. Garrett passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Serenity Place in Dublin. Mr. Garrett is survived by his mother, Myrtle Garrett of Dublin, a brother, Donald (Melissa) Garrett of Dublin, a sister, Lisa (Jeff) Dean of Dublin, nieces and nephews, J.T. Dean, Jake Dean, Haley Garrett, and Mason Garrett. Pallbearers will be J.T. Dean, Jake Dean, Tim Craft, Mason Garrett, Chris Brewer, and Tim Brewer. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Garrett to Serenity Hospice at 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021 or to the Shriners at 222 Mecca Drive, Macon, GA 31206. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
