Ronnie Spencer Rowland

Funeral services for Ronnie Spencer Rowland, age 69 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp and Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate. Mr. Rowland was born August 1, 1949 in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ernest Melvin and Geneva Webb Rowland. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Rowland Foskey. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School. He served 8 years in the US Army Reserves. He was a retired engineer for RTS/AT&T. He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Rowland passed away after a short illness at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Rowland is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Glynda P. Rowland of East Dublin, a son, Eric Rowland of Newnan, a daughter, Stephanie Rowland Price of San Diego, CA, 2 brothers, Jack Rowland of Florence, SC, and Jerry Rowland of East Dublin, 4 sisters, Willette Thompson of Wrightsville, Molline Thompson of Wrightsville, Jean Soles of Wrightsville, and Ernestine Freeman of Dublin, 4 grandchildren, Hannum Price, Cardiff Price, Colton Rowland, and Sullivan Price. Pallbearers will be Marty Thompson, Allen Thompson, Keith Foskey, Andrew Freeman, Cole Moore, and Michael Price. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
