Ruby Wilson Sheppard

Funeral services for Ruby Wilson Sheppard, age 89 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tommy Veal and Rev. Jake Hughes will officiate.

Mrs. Sheppard was born February 18, 1937, in Kite, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Leslie Wilson and Sarah Smith Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John M. Sheppard. She was a retired seamstress. She was a member of Gethsemane Church. Mrs. Sheppard passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family.

Mrs. Sheppard is survived by her sons, Mike (Marilyn) Sheppard of Danville and Rob Sheppard of East Dublin, 3 grandchildren, James (Hollie) Sheppard of Danville, Wilson (Desiree) Sheppard of Ocean Springs, MS, and Jessica Sheppard of Crestwood, KY, a sister, Viola Stephens of Augusta, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Sheppard, Wilson Sheppard, Noah Shedd, Ben Reinbold, Rex Stephens, Billy Luckey, and Chris Bush.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver Amy Hawkins, Scott Health and Rehabilitation, and Georgia Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Church at 501 Soperton Avenue, East Dublin, Georgia 31027.
