Ruth Browning

Graveside funeral services for Ruth T. Browning, age 82 will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate. Mrs. Browning was born on August 26, 1932 in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Neal S. and Mettie Holliday Thaggard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Urbon Lee Browning, Jr., 2 granddaughters, Melissa Warren Jones and Melanie Warren, and a great granddaughter, Katelyn Warren. She was a member of Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Browning passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Browning is survived by her 3 daughters, Connie (Dennis) Warren of Rentz, Kay (Dan) Purvis of Cedar Grove, and Ellen (Gary) Miller of Asbury, IA, a brother, Arthur (Betty) Thaggard of Savannah, a sister, Ruby (M.L.) Knight of Rentz, 5 grandchildren, Chan Nobles, Shawn Warren, Corey (Erica) Purvis, Tiffany Purvis, and Andrew Kleski, 6 great grandchildren, Ashley Scarboro, Kali Purvis, Drew Kleski, Joey White, Austin White, and Jeremy Herndon, and 2 great grandchildren, Rayne Cook and Jayde Cook, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 1697 GA Highway 126, Cadwell, Georgia 31009 immediately following the funeral. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
