Ruth Dykes Killingsworth

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Dykes Killingsworth, age 81, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Elder Franklin Bryant officiating. Mrs. Killingsworth was born February 21, 1935 in Dexter, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late James I & Annie Fountain Dykes, her husband, Charles E. Killingsworth, a brother, Mitchell Dykes and four sisters, Amanda Youngblood, Marcie Dykes, Ruby Nell Bryan and Janette Justice. She was a member of the American Hemerocallis Society and the Dublin Daylily Club. Mrs. Killingsworth passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Killingsworth (Dean) Gearin of Lula and Lana Killingsworth (Bryant) Lott of Dublin, a grandson, Jacob Boyd Gearin, a brother, Thomas Rueben (Karen) Dykes and a sister, Myrtle Dykes Garrett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dublin Daylily Club in care of Pat Mercer, 420 Springhaven Rd., Dexter, GA 31019. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
