Ruth Cassady Stephens

Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Cassady Stephens, age 92, will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 16, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church with burial to follow in Zeta Cemetery. Elder Brant Kennedy and Dr. Jarrett Burch will officiate. Pallbearers will be Patrick Scott Lindsey, Michael Kyle Lindsey, Brandon Jeral Lovett, Dakota Wilkes Lindsey, Brian Kearney and Chris Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bethany Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class and Mr. Billy Duggan. Mrs. Stephens was born June 5, 1927 in Tennille, Georgia, the daughter of Edward and Susie Cassady. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Ladies Sunday School, and Bethany Baptist WMU. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Noah Lindsey and her second husband, Donald Stephens. Mrs. Stephens passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mrs. Stephens is survived by her son, Kenneth Lindsey (Pat), daughters, Susan Lindsey Lovett (Bobby) and Karen Lindsey Rachels (Charles), grandchildren Patrick Scott Lindsey (Monica), Michael Kyle Lindsey, Brandon Jeral Lovett, Lindsey Lovett Jones (Scott), Shanna Marie Rachels, Cassie Rachels Kearney (Brian), Carla Rachels Lewis (Chris), great grandchildren, Dakota Wilkes Lindsey (Jennifer), Rayna Ann Lindsey, Celia Cheyenne Lindsey, Robert Liam Jones, Scarlett Cassady Jones, Noah Layne Kearney, Adaline Elizabeth Kearney, Elijah Adam Kearney, Charlotte Elizabeth Lewis, Caydie Marie Lewis, and great-great grandchildren, Bentley Beau Lindsey and Oakley Caine Lindsey. The family will be meeting at the home of Mrs. Stephens and will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Stanley Funeral Home.
