Sally Smith Hoover

Sally Smith Hoover, 98 of Dublin, Georgia passed away on Thursday afternoon, September 5, 2024. Mrs. Hoover, known to her customers at the Red Top and Shorty's in the Cadwell area as "Miss Sally," was born on September 11, 1925, to William Henry Smith, Sr. and Sally George Harrison Smith in Charlottesville, Virginia. Mrs. Hoover grew up on her parent's Locust Grove Dairy Farm. She enjoyed riding with her brother Henry on their ponies up to Monticello, known as the Little Mountain and the home of President of Thomas Jefferson. After moving to Georgia, Mrs. Hoover enjoyed feeding songbirds, gardening, and walking her dogs. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her children Jeffery (Margaret) Hoover, Kathy (Scott) Thompson, and William (Valerie) Hoover, and several grandchildren.

There will be no services.
