Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Williams Hutcheson, age 92 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jay Williams, Dr. Joel Dent, Rev. Wes Moye, and Dr. Jack Key will officiate.
Mrs. Hutcheson was born on February 8, 1923 in Scott, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Lillie Webb Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Jordan Hutcheson, her sisters and brothers, Effie W. (Bankie) Brantley, Pearl Dickinson, Kathryn W. Stewart, Sadie W. Barnes, Christine W. Avery, Claude Williams, Preston Williams, Grady Williams, Melvin Williams, Roy Williams, Bennie Williams, Buddy Williams, and Newborn Williams. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, and Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Farm Bureau. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hutcheson passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Serenity Place.
Mrs. Hutcheson is survived by her son, Wayne Jordan (Beth) Hutcheson of Birmingham, AL, a daughter, Kay Frances Hutcheson(Gerald Taylor, II) Smith of Dublin, a brother, Billy Williams of Macon, a sister, Ola W. Arnold of Dublin, 2 grandchildren, Morgan Smith (Matt) Hobbs, and Matthew K. Smith, and a great grandchild, Ryleigh Hobbs.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Smith, Lex Williams, Carl Avery, Bryan Barrett, Brandon Thomas, Mark Barrett, and Jack Williams.
The Pine Forest United Methodist Women and Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class at Pine Forest United Methodist Church will serve as Honorary Escort.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the funeral home.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Hutcheson to Pine Forest United Methodist Women's Mission Fund or to Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
