Sharon Lee Shadle Fulford on the morning of March 10, 2022 passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at her Tennessee home. Sharon was 75 years old.
Sharon was born September 16, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana the daughter of Wayne and Nellie Shadle. She graduated from Indiana Academy and then from Indiana University with a degree in nursing and practiced her profession for over 30 years.
She married Bob Fulford of Wrightsville, GA in 1969 and they lived happily together for over 52 years. She is survived by her husband Bob, brother Eric Shadle, MD and spouse, their two sons Kevin Fulford MD and spouse, Jeff Fulford MPT and spouse, one stepson Bobby Fulford and spouse, one stepdaughter Lisa Fulford, along with several grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon retired to the mountains in Reliance, TN in 1999. She lived her dream life of residing in the country growing vegetables and being out in nature. In retirement, she started a second career as an apprentice carpenter under Ray Goforth and helped build a custom home for Pastor Derek Morris using only the resources off the land. This experience gave her so much joy and enabled her to perform many home repairs.
She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church where she taught scripture, played the organ and held cooking classes for healthy eating. She was an amazing woman, wife and mother who lived and taught what she believed. Her purpose in life was to assist people with their health challenges and received great joy in accomplishing this. Many friends have expressed she always had a smile on her face, was always positive and full of spunk and vigor. She became a second mom to many of her children's friends and others she met in the community and church. Sharon's greatest passion was for her family. She dedicated her life to her family and taught her sons to love the Lord. She is now sleeping in Jesus awaiting the resurrection.
Grave side services will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville, GA on Saturday, April 30th.
