Shirley Garnto Brown

Funeral services for Shirley Garnto Brown will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home with Mr. Thurmon Foskey officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Shirley was born on October 12, 1938, in Johnson County, Georgia. Shirley was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Shirley loved spending time in the kitchen, creating meals for family and friends. She also loved outdoors fishing, enjoying the garden where she could see the labor of love, go into her garden of vegetables or her garden bed of flowers she would spend hours planting flowers and make sure all was planted according to the almanac. Shirley will be remembered for her kindness to all. Her cheerful attitude & smile in life gave off a warmth reception. Her laughter was contagious. She will be missed by so many people that adored and loved her. Shirley passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at her home. May she rest in heaven in peace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Otha and Eldred Mimbs Garnto; brother, W. H. Garnto; and her husband, Jimmie Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Price Greene (Randy), her son, Ken Price, a grandson, Allen Ellis (Melissa), and great grandsons, Bryce and Ryan.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. and will also receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made in Ms. Shirley's name to Stanley Funeral Home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville is in charge of the arrangements.
