Funeral services for Shirley Brown, age 70 will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at 3:00 P.M. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray, Georgia. Dr. Phil Tondee, Rev. Tom Vann and Mr. Ray Brantley will officiate. Mrs. Brown was born on February 11, 1944 in Cochran, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Monroe J. and Ruth Christine Thompson Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown. She has lived in Laurens County for the past 5 years. She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Brown is survived by her 2 sons, John Henry Mullis of Gray, and Robert Ellis Mullis of Dublin, 3 daughters, Annie Lou Mullis of Springfield, FL, Shirley Annette Mullis Amerson of Lizella, and Elizabeth Christon Allen of Tampa, FL, a stepdaughter, Cherel Kay Fry of New Port Richey, FL, 3 brothers, Russell Morgan of Gray, Robert Morgan of Perry, and Wesley Morgan of Gray, 12 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 9 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step great- great grandchild. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
