Shirley Ann Roberts

Graveside services for Shirley Ann Roberts, age 67, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Kettle Creek Cemetery, Waycross, Georgia with Rev. Craige Foskey and Rev. Burton Dixon officiating. Mrs. Roberts was born October 12, 1953, in Waycross, the daughter of Rev. Samuel and Florence Varnetta Taylor. In 1983, she made Wrightsville her home, and was employed for 38 years as a technician for Electro-Mech Scoreboard Company. Her hobbies included taking care of her flowers and her pets. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, loved ones, and her Electro-Mech family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ronald Gary Taylor, and Roger Dale Taylor. She was a member of Wrightsville First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Roberts passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Fairview Park Hospital, following an extended battle with cancer. Survivors are her son, Christopher Roberts (Tera) of Wrightsville; daughter, Shannon Roberts of Tampa, FL; brother, Carroll Taylor (Wynelle) of North Augusta; and three grandchildren, Christopher Calem Roberts, Tatum Allyn Roberts, and Dylin Brooke Roberts. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dublin Laurens Humane Society, 618 Firetower Rd, Dublin, GA 31021 Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
