S.M. Hadden

Graveside funeral services for S.M. Hadden, age 101 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Allen Meeks will officiate. Mr. Hadden was born August 25, 1919, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Jessie and Frances Hoover Hadden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lizzie Garnto Hadden, and a son, Wayne Marcus Hadden.. He attended Kite Church of God. He was a member of Masonic Anderson Lodge. He was a self-employed contractor. Mr. Hadden passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at Bolingreen Health and Rehab in Macon. Mr. Hadden is survived by his daughter, Faye (Gene) Welch of Macon, 2 grandchildren, Cathy (David) Patterson of Macon, and Tony Welch of Macon, 7 great-grandchildren, Brandon (Alison) Turner, Garrett Patterson, Bret Welch, Zack Welch, Abby Welch, Emily Skinner, and Hannah (Greg) Knight, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, Arlo Turner, Ezra Turner, Brianna Henry, Finley Knight, and Riley Knight. Pallbearers will be Tony Welch, Bret Welch, Zack Welch, Garrett Patterson, David Patterson, and Brandon Turner. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Hadden to New Home Church Cemetery fund c/o Kay Harrison at 503 Fortner Road, Kite, Georgia 31049. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
