Steven George Tribble

Steven George Tribble, age 74, passed away at his home on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Mr. Tribble was born January 1, 1952, in Atlanta. He was the son of the late Wilbur (Buddy) and Faye Tribble. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Tribble and Suzanne Tribble; aunt, Mary Kate Tribble; and father-in-law, Joe Allums. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He had an unwavering allegiance to his alma mater, Auburn University. War Eagle! He lived in Dublin for the past thirteen years and in Macon for over twenty. Steve spent his formative years in Social Circle. He was a man of faith and member of Riverside United Methodist Church. He retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Environmental Protection Division.

Steve was a master of the honey-do list, an avid reader, and lifelong student of history. He was a kind soul, thoughtful and dedicated to his family and friends, who went out of his way to lend a helping hand. His love and devotion were evident in everything he did. He cherished Amy, his wife of 34 years. However, his proudest accomplishment was guiding his sons, Joseph and Jared, and watching them become wonderful men.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Allums Tribble of Dublin; sons, Joseph Malcolm Tribble of Arlington, VA and Jared Allums Tribble of Nashville, TN; brothers, Randy Tribble (Cory Ditman) of Decatur and Robb Tribble of Decatur; sister, Janet Tribble of Washington, DC; mother-in-law, Alice Allums of Dublin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vic and Carol Allums of Decatur; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lori and Wayne Taylor of Chapel Hill, TN; and nieces and nephews, Emily and Jonny Corcoran (grandnieces Amelia and Olivia), Murfreesboro, TN, Rachel and Sam Sullivan (grandnephew Sonny and grandniece Charlotte) Columbia, TN, Coleman and Caroline Allums, Athens, Jordan Allums and Evan Jager, Nashville, TN, Madison Allums, New York, NY, and Drew Tribble, Decatur. And canine partners in crime, Max and Luke.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. His ashes will be spread by his family along the Blue Ridge Parkway and on their other travels where he will be sincerely missed.
