Sue B. Long

Sue Buchan Long went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2015. Sue was born on August 21, 1936, in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Gussie Belle Smith and Robert Pickens Buchan. Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Marvin Long of Dublin; children, Belinda Long Ricks (Clay) of Dublin, Cindi Long Aspinwall (Glenn) of Peachtree Corners, Ga., and Scott Michael Long of Dublin; grandchildren, Kate Aspinwall, Drew Aspinwall, Josh Aspinwall, Brooks Long, Bennett Long, Ashley Ricks Crews (Josh), Lauren Ricks Peterson (Wade), Clay Ricks, III, and Clarke Ricks, and a great grandchild, Charleigh Clae Crews. Sue graduated from Dublin High School. She received a B.S. degree in math education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church where she was a member of Lawrence Smalley Sunday School Class. She will always be remembered for her faithfulness to her Faith, Family and Friends! Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, in the sanctuary of Pine Forest United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be immediately following the celebration of her life at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wes Moye and Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. Pallbearers will be Glenn Aspinwall, Clay Ricks, Drew Aspinwall, Josh Aspinwall, Brooks Long, Bennett Long and Clay Ricks III.
