Funeral services for Teddy "Ted" Lamar Jackson, age 73, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow at Boiling Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ralph Veal, Rev. Curtis Lysacker and Rev. Chip Bodi will officiate.
Mr. Jackson was born March 31, 1941 in Lovett, Georgia. He was the son of the late Alton & Arrie Curl Jackson. He was a member of Lovett United Methodist Church and was retired from Bassett Furniture Company. Mr. Jackson passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise Soles Jackson of Wrightsville, a son, Lamar Jackson of Michigan, a step-son, Tony Soles of Wrightsville, two brothers, Allen "Red" Jackson of Dublin and Ray Jackson of Macon, two sisters, Anne Pursley of Macon and Sue Dixon of Dublin, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday August 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Jackson, Kenny Dixon, Keith Dixon, Ricky Lewis, Bill Newsome and Bobby Pursley.
The Davis & Raley Sunday School class of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and employees of Thomas Auto Supply will serve as honorary escorts.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
