Teresa N. Holton

Funeral services for Mrs. Teresa Nannette Johnson Holton, age 68, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Charles R. Asbell, Sr. will officiate. Mrs. Holton was born June 8, 1946 at Bray Hospital in Johnson County to William Frank and Lois Hood Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Johnson and a sister, Connie Sue Johnson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School class. She also served as treasurer of the Women's Fellowship Union for many years. She was also a charter member of the Johnson County Pilot Club. She was retired from the job that she loved very much at Internal Medicine in Wrightsville. Her other hobbies which she enjoyed and loved dearly were gardening and tending to her flowers. Mrs. Holton passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at her residence. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Hilton Holton of Wrightsville, a daughter and son-in-law, Teri Holton Parker and Marcus Parker of Macon, four brothers, Pete Johnson of Puerto Rico, Franklin Johnson of Kite, C.J. (Jerome) Johnson of San Diego, CA and Timothy Todd Johnson of Brunswick and two sisters, Yvonne Woods and Sarah Deborah Johnson both of Swainsboro. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Glen Holton, Kenneth Holton, Ronnie Hood, Freddie Crabb, Andy Crabb and Ronald Caneega. Honorary escorts will include the Ladies of the Wednesday Night Bible Study, WMU, Dr. Jean Sumner, Cathy Ivey, Velma Veal, Linda Joiner, Dora Dean Tanner and Sandra Vanlandingham. Flowers are welcomed or contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Holton, to the Johnson County Senior Center, attn: Vicki Roberts, 122 Hilton Holton Drive, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096.
