Thelma Louise Colter

Private Graveside services for Mrs. Thelma Louise Colter, age 92, will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Cadwell City Cemetery with Rev. Greg Lowery officiating. Mrs. Colter was born October 8, 1927 in Cadwell, GA, where she was a lifetime member of Cadwell Baptist Church, an active WMU member, choir member, and served in various positions throughout the church. She was an avid seamstress, gardener, and excellent cook. Mrs. Colter was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Judson David and Eddie Mae Smith Mullis, her husband of 73 years, Edward A. Colter, siblings, Woodrow Mullis, Doris Mullis Moye, J. D. Mullis Jr., Ralph Andrew Mullis, Fred Mullis, Graden Mullis, Almaleen Mullis Stuckey, and Quinton Mullis. Mrs. Colter passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Mrs. Colter is survived by her children; Annese Colter Thomas (Walt) of Marietta, Pam Colter Kight and Susan Colter Beacham both of Dublin; siblings, Katherine Mullis Zachary and Thomas Gerald Mullis; grandchildren, Gregory Edward Melton, Lisa Law (Tracy), Jay Thomas (Meredith), DeAnn Bomar (Spencer), and Rebecca Hall (Jason), 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gregory Melton, Tracy Law, Jason Hall, Jay Thomas, Spencer Bomar, and Johnny Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Woman's Mission Group and the Matron's Sunday School Class. The family wishes to thank Serenity Hospice Care of Dublin and our special care givers Veronica Cowart and Michelle Coney. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Hospice at 504 Parker Dairy Rd, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
