The Villages loses a friend
Ten year resident of The Villages, Thomas Warner Bell, an entrepreneur in the window and door industry and avid golf lover, died July 4, 2016 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center at age 76 in a peaceful manner. As timing would have it, he went out with a "bang" at 9:36 PM during the annual fireworks celebration. He was active most of his life until falling ill with Parkinson's disease six years ago.
Tom began his life journey March 29, 1940 in West Palm Beach, Florida where he grew up and served in the National Guard. He was one of ten siblings preceded in death by their parents, the late Norman and Frances Jordan Bell. He was also employed by the Palm Beach Police Department. He married a childhood friend, Claire Pindat on February 22, 1964. At the age of 33, they moved to Wrightsville, Georgia. In Georgia, Tom worked to build Bell-View Incorporated into a successful manufacturing company for over 40 years. He was a long term member of the Johnson County Country Club, where he enjoyed golf for many years. In 2007, Tom decided to retire and move to The Villages to live out his life on the golf courses of Florida.
Tom left behind his wife, Claire Pindat Bell, a daughter, Adrianne Bell Jordan, a son, Robert W. Bell and five beautiful grandchildren, Christopher Bell, Cody Bell, Erica Tanner, Ryan Bell and Rachel Bell.
He will be missed by family and friends for years to come.
Tom's funeral mass will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, Florida.
