Thomas Lamar Bush

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Lamar Bush, age 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Kirk Hagan will officiate. Mr. Bush was born September 21, 1925 in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ellis Harvel Meeks and Zemmie Bush Meeks, his adoptive parents, John Willie Bush and Maudie Lee Underwood Bush and his wife, Edith Scott Bush. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and was a long time employee of Outlaw Pontiac Company. After retirement, he was well known around Wrightsville for washing cars. Mr. Bush passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Deanne (David) Frey of Fitzgerald, a granddaughter, Jennifer (Randall) Shoultz of Fitzgerald , two great-grandchildren, Madi Shoultz and Maci Shoultz. and two brothers, Bobby (Mary Ellen) Bush of Cockeysville, Maryland and James (Beth) Bush of Byron. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 Thursday, September 3, 2015. Pallbearers will be Barney Holland, Justin Holland, Quincey Simpson, Kenneth Bush, Mike Scott and Daniel Simpson.
