Timothy Christopher Smith

Funeral services for Timothy Christopher Smith, age 68, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Darrell Paulk officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M. at Bull Creek Cemetery, 548 Bull Creek Church Rd, Claxton, GA 30417.

Mr. Smith was born on May 21, 1955, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin and the Moose Lodge 1609. He was a retired telephone repairman with Southern Bell. Tim was a generous friend and loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking, singing karaoke, and spending time in Pine Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Cline Smith and B.E. Smith, Jr.; his wife, Beverly Smith; and a brother, Gary Smith. Mr. Smith passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his residence.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Jones (Stephen) of Milton; son, Clinton Smith (Jessica) of Savannah; step-daughter, Angie Hudson; step-son, Gary McDougle; three brothers, Stephen Smith (Deborah) of Dublin, Jeffery Smith of Dublin, and Craig Smith (Lynn) of Savannah; six grandchildren, Wesley Hudson, Harrison Taylor, Wallace Jones, Penelope Jones, Norah Smith and Audrey Smith; nieces and nephews, Holly LaFrance (Duff), Derek Smith, Ashley Mobley (Phillip), Jason Smith (Amanda), Sandy Collins, Brad Smith (Maranda), Andrew Smith (Amanda), Shelby Burnham and Lori Ricks (Jeffrey); aunt, Pricilla Hearn of Daisy; and numerous cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Derek Smith, Phillip Mobley, Jason Smith, Brad Smith, Andrew Smith and Alan Smith.
