Funeral services for Tommy Lindsey, age 72 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Thomas and Rev. David Amburgey will officiate.
Mr. Lindsey was born October 23, 1953, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late A.D. Lindsey and Julia Grace Williams Lindsey. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Lindsey and David Lindsey, and a sister, Pam McCullough. He retired from the Department of Corrections. He was a school bus driver for Dodge County for many years. He worked as a mechanic with Kelly-Springfield Tire, Western Auto, and Independently. He was an avid outdoorsman, farmer, and woodworker. His stern disposition was often mistaken, but he was a practical joker and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Lindsey passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Register Lindsey of Chester; a son, Toby Lindsey of Chester; a daughter, Tori (Chris) Sargent of Spain; 3 brothers, Buddy (Geraldine) Lindsey, Danny (Debra) Williams, and Joey Mullis; grandchildren, Brittany Wild, Thomas Lindsey, Joseph Lindsey, Matthew Lindsey, Ellie Sargent, Eli Sargent, and 6 bonus grandchildren, JJ, Holly, Brayleigh, Anthony, Rachel, and Jessie; and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
