Funeral services for Tommy Lumley, age 83 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ken Rogers will officiate.
Mr. Lumley was born September 12, 1934 in McRae, Georgia. He was the son of the late Otie and Sallie Rawlings Lumley. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tommie Lou Lumley, a son, Jerry Lumley,2 brothers, Bill Lumley and James Lumley, and a sister, Lena Kennedy. He attended New Bethel Baptist Church. He was a retired auto mechanic. Mr. Lumley passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Lumley is survived by his loving wife, Margie Ann Lumley of Dublin, 4 daughters, Wanda (Ronnie) Foskey of Adrian, Vickie Lumley of Macon, Michelle (Buddy) Faulk of Dublin, and Tonya (Mark) Calvetti of St. James City, FL, a son, Bruce (Cindy) Kilgore of Dothan, AL, 3 brothers, Walt Lumley of East Dublin, Tony Lumley of TN, and Raymond Lumley of Springfield, TN, 2 sisters, Annie (Marvin) Davies of Alamo, and Lily Nugent of Macon, 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Spence Lovett, Dwayne Carr, Chad Zittrouer, Justin Fountain, Matt Dimmen and Jason Lumley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
