She served on the Oconee Regional Library Board Executive Committee as a Trustee for 20 years, many of those years as chairman. Travis was an avid reader, fabulous cook, and enjoyed outings with family and friends. Everyone was welcomed in her home.
She was married to the late Eugene K. Heckle for over 49 years. Preceding her in death were her brothers: Embree Jackson, Edward Jackson, Lake Jackson and Paul Jackson.
