Velma Carroll Soles

Funeral services for Velma Carroll Soles, age 92 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Billy Todd will officiate.

Mrs. Soles was born December 27, 1930, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Claude Smith Carroll. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Soles, a infant daughter, a infant sister, and 3 siblings, Beulah Mae Mimbs, Dessie Patterson, and Felton Lee Carroll. She retired from Oxford Shirt Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she loved to cook for her church family. She loved sewing for her family and friends. Mrs. Soles passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mrs. Soles is survived by her daughter, Connie (David) Pryor of East Dublin, 3 grandchildren, Tabatha Crawford of Ocala, FL, Jerome (Lillian Miller) Pryor of East Dublin, and Kelly (Randall Walker) Pryor of East Dublin, 8 grandchildren, Tiffany Crawford, Lexi Crawford, Thomas Crawford, Cameron Crawford, Dakota Kratochvil, Kaleb Pryor, Nicholas Pryor, and Khloe Pryor, and special adopted daughter, Jennifer Pryor.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Soles, Greg Soles, Alan Myers Jamie Mills, Jerome Pryor, and Jeff Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
