Vera S. Price

Funeral services for Mrs. Vera S. Price, age 94, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 7, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Charles Asbell and Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. Mrs. Price was born August 30, 1920 in Treutlen County. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C & Mattie Soles, her husband, Hilton Grable Price, a son, Edward Price, and her brothers and sister, Troy Soles, Thurmon Soles, Albert Soles, Alvin Soles, Don Soles, Grable Soles, Earl Soles, Bobby Soles and Sara Nell Chambers. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Buckeye Industries as a seamstress. Mrs. Price passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014. She is survived by her son, Edsel (Sarah) Price, her daughters, Dorothy (Truitt) Price, Evelyn (Franklin) Crabb, Shirley (James) Joiner, and Carolyn (Freddie) Kyzer all of Wrightsville, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
