Verna Jo Bracewell

Funeral services for Verna Jo Bracewell, age 77 will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jason Patterson will officiate.

Mrs. Bracewell was born December 21, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Joel Ellis Wharton and Verna Lee Johnson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pinehurst Drive Baptist Church. Mrs. Bracewell passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Bracewell is survived by her husband, Russell Bracewell of East Dublin; a son, Dean Hastings of LA, a daughter, Deanna Hastings of LA; 2 brothers, Ellis Wharton of Woodstock, and Mark Wharton of Sherman, TX; a sister, Christine Godwin of Shreveport, LA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
