Virginia Pierce

A memorial service for Mrs. Virginia Pierce, age 82, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 8. 2017 at Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Giddens officiating. Mrs. Pierce was born February 19, 1935 to Albert Caudill and Lula Woody Caudill. She has made her home in Dublin for the past 63 years having come from Lawton, Oklahoma. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and was retired from Oxford Shirt Company and most recently from Friedman Jewelers. She loved her church, reading and going to the beach but her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for kindness, helpfulness and her spunkiness. She will also be missed by her four-legged friend, Lacey Jackson. Mrs. Pierce passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Obed E. Pierce of Dublin, a son, Obed E. (Betty) Pierce, Jr. of Dublin, a daughter, Debra Ann (Jimmie) Miles of Pembroke, three brothers, Phillip C. (Rose) Caudill of Claude, TX, William D. (Chloveta) Caudill of Apache, OK and David R. Caudill of Bethel, OH, three sisters, Polly C. Penix of Lakeland, FL, Pearlene Spencer of Lawton, OK and Judy A. League of Tampa, FL, four grandchildren, Tina Myers, Kimberly Jackson, Amanda Messenger and Jessica Pierce and four great-grandchildren, Camden Myers, Rossi Jackson, Claire Myers and Noah Messenger. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations, in memory of Mrs. Pierce, be made to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or to Olivet Baptist Church, Haiti Mission Trip Fund, 1689 Georgia Highway 19 South, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
