Funeral services for Wanda Lee Reece Brantley, age 74 will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel, with interment to follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Johnson County. Rev. Daniel Walker, Rev. Billy Lee, and Rev. Jimmy Allen will officiate.
Mrs. Brantley was born March 29, 1943 in Warsaw, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Coy and Grace Sturgeon Reece. She moved from Atlantic City, New Jersey 51 years ago to make her home in Laurens County. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Mark Brantley, 3 brothers, Bud Reece, Jim Reece, and Jack Reece, and a sister, Patsy Reece Wilson. She received a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Tift College. She was known as "Granny" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved very dearly. She was a retired Public Health Administrator for the South Central Health District. Mrs. Brantley passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Serenity Place.
Mrs. Brantley is survived by her husband, Ray D. Brantley of East Dublin, a son, Tim C. (Beverly) Brantley of Danville, a daughter-in-law, Holly (Rodney) Manley of East Dublin, a brother-in-law, Rocky Wilson of Ghent, KY, 7 grandchildren, Cody (Megan Parker) Brantley, Morgan Brantley (Justin) Williamson, Jake Brantley, Ben Brantley, Matt Brantley, McKenzie Manley, and Parker Manley, and 2 great grandchildren, Ivey Rae Williamson and Immi Reece Williamson.
Pallbearers will be Cody Brantley, Justin Williamson, Aaron Brantley, Bryant Brantley, Troy Lawrence, and Dustin Williamson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rocky Wilson and Georgia State Patrol.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations to the Missionary Fund of Woodland Heights Baptist Church at 1780 441 North Dublin, Georgia 31021 or to the Serenity Foundation at 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021.
