Wayne Rogers

Funeral services for Victor "Wayne" Rogers, age 80, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 8, 2023, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory in Dublin, Georgia. Brother Danny Yates will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wrightsville, Georgia.

Mr. Rogers was born on January 7, 1943, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was a retired teacher with the Washington County Board of Education. He was a lover of all animals and Elvis Presley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Wilhelmina Rogers; twin brother, Wendell Rogers; sister, Sue Fish; and his brother, Terry Rogers. Mr. Rogers passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at his residence with his dog "Pup" by his side.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandi McCutchan and her husband Philip McCutchan of Franklin, TN; three granddaughters, Isabella, Lydia and Hannah; and his sister, Sharon Barry.

Pallbearers will be Philip McCutchan, Grant Barry, Brad Rogers, Darren Bridges, Shane Bridges, and Mark Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers will be Edsel Price and James Joiner.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory of Dublin, Georgia.
