Graveside funeral services for Willa Mae Beckham, age 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 25, 2023, in Westview Cemetery with Rev. David Oliver officiating.


Mrs. Beckham was born on August 28, 1937, in Wheeler County, Georgia and lived in Wrightsville for 56 years. She attended Shady Grove Baptist Church and was a retired caseworker with the Department of Family and Children Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Herbert Young and Nora Redding Young; brothers, Rev. William H. "Buddy" Young and J.C. Young; and her sisters, Hazel Martin, Totsie Coleman, and Ann Young. Mrs. Beckham passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital.


She is survived by her husband, Lamar Beckham of Wrightsville; one daughter, Vicki (David) Oliver of Wrightsville; one son, Tony Webb of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Nathan (Ansley) Oliver of Grovetown, Will (Brittany) Oliver and Taylor Madge Oliver of Wrightsville; and brother-in-law, Bobby Coleman of Rentz.


Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
