William Bennie Price

IVEY – William Bennie Price, 92, of Lakeview Dr., passed away April 21, 2025 at his residence.


Services will be held Wednesday April 23, 2025 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Wilkes will officiate. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in the McIntrye Baptist Church Cemetery.


Mr. Price was born in Wrightsville, GA, the son of the late William Price and Lavada Fields Price. He was preceded in death by his son Ashley Price. Bennie was a retired Postmaster with the United States Postal Service and was a Barber for many years. He was a Lifetime member of the American Legion, the Irwinton Masonic Lodge, and former President of the Georgia Chapter of NAPUS, serving Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. Bennie was a member of Gordon First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, former Church Treasurer, volunteer Repairman, Cook and former Sunday School Director. He was a volunteer Director at Gordon Better Hometown. Bennie loved meeting and talking with people and was active in his community. He was a funeral assistant with Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home for over 20 years.


Survivors include his wife, Angelyn Brantley Price. His son and daughter in law, Rodney and Tess Price. Five Grandchildren, Brittany Price, Caroline (Chad) Norfleet, Lachelle Dollar, Austin Price and Tiffany Price. Five Great Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild.


The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:45PM before the service.


Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon has charge of arrangements.
