William Joseph Buie

Private graveside services for William Joseph Buie, age 97, will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the Rentz City Cemetery.

Mr. Buie was born on August 19, 1926, in Rentz, Georgia to the late, J.T. and Cornelia Hinesley Buie. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a farmer. He was the owner and operator of Buie Turpentine. He liked being outdoors and was an avid walker. He was a world traveler and enjoyed playing bridge. Mr. Buie passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital.

He is survived by his nieces, Ann Hughes and Mitzi Pollack; nephews, Tony Smith and Don Smith, and several other relatives.
