William David Clay

Memorial services for William David Clay, age 77 will be held at 3:00 Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Gene Hemingway will officiate. Mr. Clay was born July 8, 1944, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late George E. and Louise Curl Clay. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Cook, a brother, Ronnie Clay, and a nephew, Jimmy Cook. He served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a retired Maintenance Manager for Uniroyal and then later Flexsteel Industries. Mr. Clay passed away May 4, 2022, at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Mr. Clay is survived by his brother, Michael (Cecelia) Clay; a sister, Sherry Forth; nieces and nephews, Michelle F. Brown, Bernie Forth, Michael Clay, Jr., Brian Clay, and Shawn Clay; and numerous great-nieces and great- grandnephew. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
