William Benedict Fenton

Graveside services for William Benedict Fenton, age 80, will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Gates of Heaven in Aspen Hill, Maryland. Mr. Fenton was born February 8, 1939 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor Vestecka Fenton. Bill attended Linn High School, went to college at Emporia State Teachers college and Kansas University where he earned a Masters degree in political science. He earned his law degree at the University of Nebraska. He was recruited right out of college by the Justice Department in Washington DC where he worked until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife Iris Mercado Fenton. Mr. Fenton passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Addington Place. Mr. Fenton is survived by his son Jordan and his wife Hallie Blizzard Fenton of Wrightsville, his brothers James (Jeannette) Fenton, John (Jeanette)Fenton and Robert (Judy) Fenton, and his sisters Mary (Dwain) Dakenbring and Marguerite (James)Talbot. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 10, 2020 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
