Funeral services for Mr. William Wiley Fowler, age 79, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Nolon McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Fowler was born July 13, 1939 in Jefferson, Georgia. He was the son of the late Luke Fowler and Pauline Gossip Fowler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Raburn Fowler. Mr. Fowler was retired from the Laurens County Road Department, was a member of the Civil Defense, a volunteer fireman, a Mason at Redhill Masonic Lodge, and served as a deacon for 25 years as a member of Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. He died February 2, 2019 at Serenity Place in Dublin.
Mr. Fowler is survived by sons William Franklin Fowler of Warner Robins, Malcolm (Fran) Crabb, Nathan Wiley (Linda) Fowler, Keith (Regina) Oliver, and Greg Fowler, all of Dublin, by daughters Robin (Paul Morril) Crabb, and Sherry (Jimmy Greenway) Fowler, both of Dublin, by a brother Cecil Fowler of Athens, by 12 grandchildren, and by 18 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
