Memorial services for Mr. William Elbert McTier, age 71 will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate. Mr. McTier was born on May 22, 1942 in Dublin, Georgia . He was the son of the late Paul W. and Zadie Lee English McTier. He was a native of Laurens County. He was self-employed as a construction worker. Mr. McTier passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Goodwill Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Macon. Mr. McTier is survived by his 2 sons, William (Carole) McTier, Jr. of Gray, and Charles Thomas McTier of Fort Benning, a brother, Herbert McTier of Dublin, and a sister, Mildred Taylor of East Dublin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
