William Thomas Veal

Memorial services for William Thomas "Tommy" Veal, age 65 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Tommy's Shop located at 2524 Greg Couey Road, Dublin, GA 31021. Mr. John Lawrence Hall will deliver the eulogy. Mr. Veal was born on August 7, 1952 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Guy Harden Veal and Thelma Fordham Veal Sawyer. He was employed as a crane operator for Summet Construction and was a farmer. He was a member of Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and was the owner of Black Hole Trophy Club. Mr. Veal passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Veal is survived by his wife, Miki Smith of Dublin, 2 children, Matthew Veal of Augusta, and Brandi (Delan) Gaines of Statesboro, a brother, Guy H. (Flossie) Veal of Dublin, 2 sisters, Hilda Walls of Dublin, and Bobbie Davis of Dublin, 2 grandchildren, Jackson Gaines and William Gaines, and numerous of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Tommy's Shop from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
