Willie Frank Bacon, age 67, of Dudley, Georgia, passed away on August 5, 2024. He was born in Eastman, Georgia and most recently resided in Dudley.
Frank was known for his love of music, and he was often found strumming his guitar or singing in the church choir, where his joyful spirit resonated with all who heard him. He was an avid dove hunter and fisherman, cherishing the moments spent outdoors with friends and family.
In addition to his passion for nature, Frank was a skilled craftsman. A talented handyman, he took pride in his construction projects and had an impressive collection of firearms that he cherished deeply. He also enjoyed sketching and drawing, along with putting together puzzles.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Vida Dykes Bacon; his father, Walter B. Bacon; his sisters, Jenell Harrell, Bonnie Sue Conner, and Johnnie Fay Spires; his brother, Edward Bacon; and his nephews, Joey B. Bacon and Don Harrell.
Frank is survived by his wife, Charlotte; son Chris Bacon (Karli); stepson, Chan Flanders (Shawna); stepdaughter, Laura Thomas (DeWayne); brother, Bill Bacon (Lynn); 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 9 at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will be at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to honor the legacy of this man who truly loved Jesus and lived a life that showed it.
Frank will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those he touched.
